A man has been charged mid-range drink driving as police operations targeting unsafe drivers continues.

Detective Chief Inspector said Andrew Spliet a man was stopped in Tumut by police.
"He was subjected to a roadside breath test which returned a mid-range reading," he said.
"He was charged with mid-range drink driving and his license was suspended.
"There was also a driver detected in the Gundagai area driving at 165 km/hr."
Inspector Spliet said there is an increased police presence in the area.
"So, if you are going to drink then don't drive and stick to the speed limit," he said.
"We have had a fairly successful period so far in relation to be fatality-free and we want to continue that."
