The man cried in disbelief after being told of his winnings at SouthCity Newsagency.
"Good Lord," he said.
"I can't believe it, I really can't believe it."
The retiree said he has been playing Lucky Lotteries for decades and has always dreamed of winning big.
"I have been playing for years but I've never won anything like this before," he said.
While the man wished to remain anonymous, he said he would have to think about how he will enjoy his unexpected win but a holiday would certainly be on the cards.
"I don't know how I'll spend the prize, I will have to talk to my wife," he said.
This news comes as a Griffith couple scored a cool million dollars last month and a Wagga woman walking away with $200,000 in her pocket in January.
