Tristan Dickson, 24, of Glenfield Park fronted Wagga Local Court on Monday for sentencing in relation to five traffic offences: negligent driving, unregistered vehicle, uninsured vehicle, not wearing a helmet and riding while licence was suspended.
Dickson, who plays first-grade for the Junee Diesels, had pleaded guilty to all charges and was on a bond at the time of the incident.
Magistrate Christopher Halburd convicted him of the charges and fined him a total of $2200.
"For heaven's sake, sir — in future, just don't drive or ride unless you have the appropriate licence, wear the appropriate gear and have the appropriate registration and insurance in place," Mr Halburd said.
Police documents tendered to the court state that the incident happened around 5pm on September 25, 2018 along Adjin Street, Mt Austin.
Dickson was riding a motorcycle through the reserves heading east towards Adjin Street before he collided with a car heading north on the street.
In court on Monday, Dickson's lawyer Lucy Hollowood argued for non-convictions for two of the offences to ensure he had his provisional licence to continue work as a labourer.
"My client was extremely apologetic to the driver and the passenger of the vehicle," Ms Hollowood said.
"My client has stated to me that the experience was a wake-up call — he's wishing to turn his life around."
However, Mr Halburd said it was not appropriate to deal with these matters "by way of non-conviction just to have that effect".
"You've got a very bad record for these types of driving matters," he said.
"You've pretty much replicated the same set of offences as you've got here back in 2015."
The bond related to intimidation was also re-imposed.
