Zunic won the 2017 Wagga Pro-Am in his first visit to Wagga Country Club and went on to finish second at the Australian PGA Championship later that year.
The 27-year-old is back in Wagga for a third time and ready to take on the strongest field ever assembled for the prestigious $40,000 event.
The likes of defending champion Nathan Green, Dimi Papadatos, Craig Parry, Peter O'Malley, Matthew Millar, James Nitties and Andre Stolz all arrived in Wagga on Wednesday ready for a big couple of days.
Zunic revealed he arrives in Wagga feeling fresh ahead of the two-day tournament.
"Monday was the first time I've touched a club in two weeks so I'm really keen to play," Zunic said.
"It's good, after you have a few weeks off you refresh and you can be a little bit rusty but I actually find that I hit the ball quite well after I have a bit of a break. You stop thinking too much and just hit the ball.
"For me, I'm not going to put too much expectation on myself. I just look forward to having a good couple of days with who I get paired with.
"I'll just go out and see how many birdies I can make, I suppose. That's the real goal. That's the plan anyway."
Zunic kicked off his Australian summer campaign with a win in the Queensland Open. He finished in a tie for 19th at his most recent event, the New Zealand PGA Championship.
He will use the Wagga Pro-Am as preparation for the Challenge Tour, where he will start in Turkey at the end of April.
"It's great to have something to play in now that I'm getting back into training and getting ready to go overseas," he said.
"It's kind of the start of my prep. Obviously the field is pretty good again this year and it's great for us to come and compete against each other in an event like this. The members here are really welcoming. I like the course too so I always enjoy playing here."
PGA NSW-ACT tournament coordinator Peter Welden inspected the course on Wednesday and predicts some low scores.
Western Australian golfer Braden Becker shot 18 under to win the $22,000 Leeton Pro-Am on Saturday and Sunday.
Dale Williamson then shot seven under through 12 holes to win the Yenda Pro-Am on Tuesday.
Golfers reported that the greens were extremely pure and the course in good condition after practice on Wednesday.
Wagga Country Club encourages spectators to attend the Pro-Am on both days of the tournament and entry is free.
