After bowling the Saints out for 147 at Harris Park on Saturday, Kooringal resume at 0-13.
With the winner to play finals and the loser's season over, Saints coach Justin Ward knows picking up wickets is their only hope to stay in the hunt.
"It's going to take 10 wickets one way or the other as we are not going to restrict them," Ward said.
"If we can get an early one or two, build a bit of momentum, getting things rolling and put a bit of pressure on them it is possible."
Ward isn't going in too confident but they were able to defend a lower total against Wagga RSL two rounds ago.
Brendan Gale made 49 last week but overall Ward was far from impressed with the batting performance considering so much is at stake.
"We're obviously disappointed with our efforts with the bat," he said.
"I can't say their bowling was that great that it got us out, we just didn't bat well enough.
"They bowled well but they weren't unbelievably unplayable or anything like that we just lost a few key wickets that cost us."
With Lake Albert struggling against Wagga City third place is now up for grabs.
