About 12.10pm today, emergency services were called to Morgan Street approaching Peter Street after reports of a white utility crashing into the rear of a Nissan Navara, which was parked at the time.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said one crew was called to the scene.
“A 19-year-old male is being assessed and treated for shock at the scene,” the spokesperson said.
“He appears to have suffered minor laceration to his face.”
Wagga police and Turvey Park Fire and Rescue also attended the scene to ensure that there were no hazardous materials from the crash.
There were no reports of injuries to other motorists and members of the public.
Witness Briana Collins-Kelleher said “we heard screeches and big bangs”.
“We came here [Morgan Street] and saw the crash with the Navara,” Ms Collins-Kelleher said.
Mark Donkin, who also saw the incident and is in Wagga for the touch football carnival, said it was fortunate no one sustained major injuries.
A towing truck was also on scene to remove the damaged utility.
Police is investigating the matter and have no further details at this stage.
