Weir last year ruled himself out of playing entirely before receiving positive news on the injury front and now looks set to commence full training.
However, Sadler-Knight's availability has come under a cloud with United coach Travis Weir admitting he "might be out for the season".
"(There's) plenty of number so far though so the club is in a healthy spot. Max Lysaght, Aaron Reilly and Tyler Allen are starting to up the anti (and) training has a real good feel about it."
Weir said there were a number of teenage prospects who had already put their hands up for selection.
