Rising cricket star Rachel Trenaman slapped an unbeaten 29 for NSW Breakers against ACT Meteors on Saturday to help book her side’s place in yet another WNCL grand final.

Set 196 to win after skittling the Meteors in under 44 overs, the Breakers looked in cruise control before a middle order wobble saw Trenaman take the crease.
The Wagga teenager, who recently enjoyed a breakout WBBL season with semi finalists Sydney Thunder, combined for a 51-run stand with Australian all-rounder Ellyse Perry to put NSW in a commanding position.
Perry departed shortly after making her half-century but Trenaman carried her bat alongside veteran bowler Sarah Aley to notch a five-wicket win with almost 20 overs to spare.
Trenaman’s knock came off just 34 balls and included four boundaries.
The Kooringal High School product would’ve enjoyed the opportunity with the bat after conceding 0-26 from three overs earlier on and having limited opportunities in NSW’s previous fixture.
