Baylee, 11, swept through the under 11 boys division to claim first place in every race while Regan made a splash in the junior girls division, taking out the title.
Harrison Fisher proved the junior boys’ top paddler with a strong showing as 12-year-old Cody Clayton also found success, winning the senior boys division.
Back to the girls, Isabelle Flight swam like a mermaid to collect the under 11 girls division gold medal before Summer Beresford caused a minor sensation, powering her way to five wins from six races to easily secure the senior girls title.
“We had 135 students down at the pool with most of them participating ... and the carnival was well supported by parents,” event coordinator Grant Motton said.
“We also ran 25 metres events alongside the 50 metres events to cater for the swimmers who weren’t as confident.”
