The Saints looked like they were going to victory against South Wagga last time out, only for a 83-run eighth wicket partnership to thwart their chances.
Taking on bottom placed Wagga RSL, coach Justin Ward is desperate for a win to keep the pressure on the top four.
“This weekend is obviously do or die for us,” Ward said.
“It’s like a mini final.
“We definitely have to win this to keep our hopes alive and make it come down to the last round where we play Colts for that final spot.”
St Michaels are a win behind Kooringal Colts, who tackle Wagga City and South Wagga before the last round clash.
Six points currently separate the two sides, a two-day win, so a victory against Wagga RSL at Robertson Oval could set up a fascinating final round.
St Michaels will be without Thomas Williams for the clash but Nick Fahey returns.
