Save from the telltale marks on unwashed cars across the city, all evidence of the past two day’s dust storms has evaporated with the winds that carried it.
Instead Friday’s stifling mid-40s temperatures has turned into Saturday's ‘cool change’.
The sunny top of 38 represents a seven-degree difference to Thursday’s record breaking 45.2-degree top.
But it remains the highest temperature around the Riverina, with the lowest recorded top of 34-degrees hitting Finley today.
Over the next three days, the weather is expected to stabilised in Wagga at 38-degrees, before progressively climbing back to the low 40s by Friday.
Still, very little in the way of precipitation is expected which will keep the air dry.
Continuing the dry intensity from winter, this week will likely deliver more dust storms.
Particle expression in the air may cause respiratory issues for sufferers of asthma, seasonal allergies, and blood pressure conditions.
As at Thursday, Wagga’s airborn particle meter hit its highest level, prompting health warnings across the region. Those warnings will remain current throughout the incoming week.
