After the mercury reached a record high of 45.2 degrees on Thursday afternoon, Oasis is a welcome change of cool family fun that many Wagga locals are making the most of.
Wagga mum Shelby Matthews enjoyed a morning at the pool with her two children, and said the heat came as a shock to the family who had just returned from a getaway.
“We’ve only just gotten back from a holiday and have been met with this record heat,” she said.
“So it’s our first day of the year at the pool and much needed, I’ve even jumped in and it’s beautiful,” she said.
The facility offers both indoor and outdoor pools and a blow up floating obstacle course for an all-day escape from the sun.
Oasis is offering free entry when temperatures reaches 41 degrees, and staff are urging people to keep an eye on the weather record so they don’t miss the opportunity.
