A defining feature of the way Ron Crouch Transport has operated since day one is giving back to the community. The company financially and in kind supports many regional sporting clubs and invaluable community groups who all make a difference to the community in which we live.
“It’s always been an ethic of the company going back to when Mum and Dad started it,” managing director Geoff Crouch said.
“They were born and bred in Wagga, I was born and bred in Wagga – it’s part of our DNA to give something back.”
The company donates logistics services to the Cancer Council, for example, completing the Riverina distribution for Daffodil Day since the mid-1990s, and regularly supplies trailers to sporting events and community initiatives for use as a stage.
Space for promotional messaging on the side of company tautliners is provided to promote worthy causes like the Rural Fire Service, CanAssist and Rotary International. Reflecting its own focus on safety, the company also has trailers promoting a message for SafeWork NSW regarding musculoskeletal injuries.
Also, in 2018, two of Ron Crouch Transport’s professional interstate truck drivers featured in a Re:act road safety video educating light vehicle road users about safety when interacting with trucks on the road.
The community spirit extends to Ron Crouch Transport employees, who dip into their own staff social club each year to donate $1000 worth of toys for local underprivileged children.
“That ingrained commitment to give back really is in our DNA and it’s something that you notice as soon as you are involved with Ron Crouch Transport – we do give back to the community,” general manager Peter Braneley said.
“I think it comes down to the fact you support those who support you.”
