Wear something yellow or purple on Wednesday November 21 to help mark Respect Day.
Respect Awareness is organising the day along with the help of South Wagga Rotary Club to encourage the entire community to dress up to celebrate the day.
Get involved by wearing something yellow or purple on the day.
“If people do not want to wear clothing they might consider wearing an accessories – flowers, headband, handkerchief or material in a shirt pocket, shoelaces or ribbon,” Respect Awareness president Ronda Lampe said.
Respect Week runs from Saturday November 17 to Saturday November 24.
The Respect Awareness board felt that celebrating Respect Day is another way to encouraging the community to be conscious of Respect and what it means.
“It costs nothing but could make a huge difference to our city if people would show respect to one another,” Mrs Lampe said.
“Lack of respect to property is a huge expense for the council and private citizens but it is not only property it is also people.
“If people would respect one another irrespective of their circumstances this could make a huge difference to their lives and also to the lives of others in the community.
“Be proactive and recognise Respect Day and what it stands for.”
