Wagga trainer Chris Heywood will return home to Harden in a bid to win the feature race double on Saturday.

Heywood has the top weight, Lighthouse, in the $8000 Sibelco & Nathan Schofield Carpentry Picnic Cup (1400m).
He will also saddle up Adolescent in the Trophy Handicap (1100m), as well as Serious Charge in the Class B Handicap (1100m).
Heywood said he is looking forward to returning to Harden for the Cup but is not entering the meeting with too much confidence.
“If I get a winner I’ll be happy,” Heywood said.
“At the end of the day I want to support the club and as long as I do that, that’s the main thing.”
Heywood is yet to settle on a jockey for Lighthouse in the Cup.
He hopes the addition of a tongue tie will help Lighthouse produce his best.
“He can win it if he has a go,” he said.
“The other day at Wagga he got too far back and made up a lot of ground. He’s got to run 1400, I think he can but it’s still a matter of going out there and doing it.”
Another former Harden boy turned Wagga trainer, Scott Spackman, is also returning in a bid to win his hometown Cup with Cryfowl.
Heywood also has Fermanagh Lad racing at Albury in the GPE Electrical Open Handicap (1175m).
After two runs back from a spell, Fermanagh Lad is getting closer to peak fitness, according to Heywood.
“He’s probably still not quite fully wound up,” he said.
“He’s getting closer and closer with every start. It takes him a few runs.”
