The 18-year-old officially joined the Giants on Tuesday after being picked up with selection 12 in the AFL Women’s Draft.
The selection was a formality after Parker nominated NSW as her preferred destination, giving the Giants exclusive access to the two-time All Australian under 18 player.
Giants AFLW head coach Alan McConnell rates Parker highly.
“We’ve added some top-end talent to our midfield with Alyce Parker from the Riverina coming in,” McConnell told the Giants website.
“Alyce is young, but was under 18 All Australian captain this year and will bring a great deal of run and elite disposal to our midfield, we’re very excited to have her join the club.”
It was a big day for Parker, who sat her second last HSC exam in Melbourne only a couple of hours after being drafted.
