Hindmarsh, arguably the best fast bowler in the Wagga association, will make his debut against East Albury at Billson Park on Sunday.
Coach Luke Styles said the Riverina representative’s signing was a huge boost on the eve of the season.
“The boys are rapt to get Jake,” Styles said.
“He looked really sharp in the nets the other night and brings some experience to a young group.
“It’s a new-look side and that extra leadership is going to be invaluable.”
Hindmarsh took 19 wickets at 17.2 playing for Wagga RSL last season and was instrumental in the side returning to the finals.
He played in Marrar’s flag in the Farrer League this year.
Albury has had a massive overhaul over the off-season with Styles set to debut as many as 10 new faces on Saturday and Sunday.
The club’s other major signing is Irishman Aaron Gillespie while Styles is confident Jindera footballers Ben Dower, Harry Weaven and Zac Stuart will make an immediate impression.
Key duo Kade Brown and Alex Popko will miss the start of the season.
