‘An aviation experience for little kids and big kids alike’ is how the Wagga Aero Club describes its open days on October 6–7.
The show will have various aircraft on display, as well as joy flights and simulations to show people how to become pilots.
A free barbecue will also be part of the event, which runs from 10am–5pm at Forest Hill.
Meanwhile, the Tumut Aero Club is gearing up for its annual ‘Fly In’ event across Saturday and Sunday.
There will be various activities on and off the airfield, allowing visitors to experience the scenic Tumut area from both the skies above and on the ground.
Club secretary Rod Blundell said they were expecting people from all over the region and Victoria to attend.
“There’ll be plenty on show – from helicopters to para-gliders and recreational aircraft,” Mr Blundell said.
“We’ll also have army vehicles and fire trucks and maybe a water bombing display at some point.
“Come and see the various aircraft around and the pilots as well.
“If people are interested in firefighting, we can point them in the right directions as well.”
The Tumut River Brewing Co. van will also attend to provide refreshments.
The Tumut event runs from 8am to 5pm both days and is located at Wee Jasper Road, Tumut.
