Tolland centre-back Jayden Beattie is confident his side can bounce back from last week’s loss to Lake Albert with a win against Tumut on Sunday.

The previously unbeaten Wolves were handed a 6-2 drubbing by the red-hot Sharks in round six, largely thanks to a first-half brace to Lake Albert striker Henri Gardner.
The loss knocked Tolland from their perch atop the Pascoe leader board but Beattie believes the result has “sparked a fire” in the squad.
“I think we’ve responded pretty well to last weekend,” Beattie said.
“We were a little annoyed by the result but training has been positive and I think morale has been good.
“Obviously a big loss like that sparks a bit of fire in the boys, so we’ve addressed a few problem areas and hopefully we can come back this weekend and get the win.”
Strong training is a positive but Tolland must overcome an improving Tumut side if they’re to keep in touch with Lake Albert.
The seventh-placed Eagles have won two on the trot following a slow start to the season and Beattie won’t be underestimating his opposition.
“Tumut is one of the bigger underdogs in the competition, in my opinion,” he said.
“They play very fast and they’ve got strong players up front and through the midfield.
“Other teams might take them for granted but I’d rate them as one of the harder teams going around, so it’s not going to be easy.”
Tumut could leapfrog Leeton and Cootamundra into fifth place with a win and captain Matt Lopez is backing his charges to secure competition points away from home.
“Our win against Junee two weeks ago was a massive confidence booster for the boys and last week’s result against Wagga United could’ve gone either way but we got there in the end,” he said.
“We’ve had players missing early in the season when we took on some tough teams and now we’re starting to settle into the competition.”
Richard Skidmore will lead the Wolves in the interim.
