The Wolves chased down a one-goal deficit early in the first half to cement their place on top of the Pascoe Cup ladder.
Wagga United looked to continue their hot streak from Leeton, drawing first blood through Nazar Yousif.
Jaiden O’Brien pegged one back for Tolland near the half-hour mark to square the ledge, which remained until the halftime break.
The loss of skipper Daniel Lawrence to a knee injury threatened to derail Tolland’s chances, but the Wolves weren’t to be denied, striking midway through the second half to take a lead that ultimately held until the final whistle.
The injured Lawrence gave credit to his side’s ability to grind out a win.
“It was a fairly scrappy game and we started slow … but I thought we were the better team in the second half,” he said.
“It’s hard to tell (about the knee injury) but the medic reckoned it could be pretty bad.
“We’ll just have to wait and see.”
Meanwhile, Wagga United coach Travis Weir was left frustrated by another match gone wrong.
“It’s our set piece that really lets us down and it’s becoming a regular occurrence for us. It’s easy for lesser sides to switch off but I expect more from my boys,” he said.
Weir also bemoaned his side’s inability to capitalise on scoring opportunities.
