A man has died following a single vehicle crash on a Riverina highway on Wednesday evening.

Emergency services were called to the Cobb Highway, at Mathoura, about 20km south of Deniliquin, about 6.50pm, following reports of a crash.
Police said upon arrival officers attached to Murray River Police District were told the vehicle left the road and hit a tree.
The male driver died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.
A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this crash has commenced.
A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
The highway was closed following the crash near the Walliston Road with diversions in place.
It was reopened at about 3.15am on Thursday.
