Amusement Alley:
- Duration: From 6am Thursday 30 November to 5pm Sunday 3 December 2023.
- Road closure details: Anderson Park/Railway Station Precinct will be closed, specifically affecting Lynch Street between Lovell Street and the Railway Line.
Friday Night Fireworks:
- Duration: Between 8pm and 10pm Friday 1 December 2023.
- Road closure details: Nasmyth Street (between Zouch Street and Lynch Street), Lynch Street (between Lovell and Edwards Street), and Lovell Street (between Zouch and Main Street) will be closed.
Parade and Massed Band Performance:
- Duration: From 1pm to 5pm Saturday 2 December 2023.
- Road closure details: Boorowa Street (Zouch Street to Thornhill Street) will be closed.
- Parade marshalling: Cloete Street (from Zouch Street to Calabash Street), Calabash Street (from Cloete Street to Junction Street), Junction Street (from Calabash Street to Boorowa Street), and Boorowa Street (from Calabash Street to Zouch Street) will be closed from 2:30 pm to 5 pm.
Please be advised that there will be staff closing sections of the road on either side of the above-mentioned times in preparation for the formal temporary closures.
Disabled parking will be available in front of the Young Town Hall, no vehicles are permitted to move during the parade. The drop-off zone for buses will be at the Old Library on Lynch Street, and bus parking will be provided along Lovell Street, between Lynch and Zouch Street.
Council has made a number of special transport arrangements for the National Cherry Festival. A free shuttle bus will be running from 8.30am to 6pm Saturday 2 December 2023, stops will include the Young Showground, Caravan Park and the Old Library on Lynch Street.
