The Bureau of Meteorology has cancelled a severe thunderstorm warning for areas around Hay and Griffith on Tuesday morning but has not ruled out issuing further weather warnings throughout the day.

"The immediate threat of severe thunderstorms has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary," the weather warning update stated.
"An 84 kilometre per hour wind gust was recorded at Hay at 05:07AM."
The latest weather forecast for Wagga is a high chance of showers on Tuesday morning, becoming less likely late in the afternoon and evening with a chance of a thunderstorm, possibly severe and light winds.
The Bureau of Meteorology has also warned that minor flooding is possible this week at Narrandera and Darlington point.
The Murrumbidgee River at Narrandera may peak near the minor flood level (6.70 metres) Tuesday into Wednesday.
The Murrumbidgee River at Darlington Point may reach the minor flood level (5.50 m) during the weekend.
"River levels peaked below the minor flood level at Wagga on January 9. This flood water is approaching Beremed Weir with a minor flood peak expected to reach Narrandera Tuesday into Wednesday and Darlington Point during the weekend," the flood warning stated.
"Further heavy rainfall is also possible with thunderstorms during the next 12 to 24 hours which may result in renewed river rises in upper parts of the Murrumbidgee catchment as well."
