The MLHD has also reported the hospitalisation of 26 people with the virus across the region, two of which are in intensive care, including one who requires ventilation.
Three patients admitted to Temora hospital returned a positive result during the hospital's routine PCR testing and are stated to have acquired the virus during their stay.
They have since been transferred to Wagga Base Hospital where their treatment is being managed by the MLHD.
The fourth case had presented itself to the hospital's emergency department and was transferred to Wagga immediately.
The MLHD says Temora Hospital remains safe for patients presenting themselves for emergency and maternity care, and additional staff has been brought in from outside the township to ensure patients' needs are catered for.
In addition, staff at the hospital have been completing Rapid Antigen Testing prior to commencing their shift.
The MLHD says it is monitoring the situation closely in line with its COVID-19 management plan, and the facility in Temora will remain closed to visitors until further notice.
The community is reminded to monitor for symptoms and if they occur, stay home and isolate until you can access a test. For testing locations across the District go to www.mlhd.health.nsw.gov.au, or for help accessing a test, call the Murrumbidgee COVID-19 Hotline 1800 831 099.
