WAGGA trainer ChrisHeywood is confident Fifty Carats and Last War will grace the winner's stall regularly enough, but their trajectory will be dictated on a race to race basis.

The pair will contest the Jaegers Event Hire Class 2 Handicap (1000m) at Thursday's Murrumbidgee Turf Club meeting, which features big fields due a a handful of washouts in the region before Christmas.
Consistent mare Fifty Carats registered three seconds and a win in four runs last preparation, and forecast rain would only enhance her chances.
Both her wins in 14 career starts have come on very heavy tracks, and Heywood is confident the back marker with a strong turn of foot late will be competitive.
"Those two are nice progressive horses going forward," Heywood said.
"Fifty Carats is going well and I'm really happy with her. We've got a bit of a program picked out for her this time in, but we're just going to take it race by race.
"We couldn't be happier going in, but if the rain turns up that will suit her even better. She does love that bit of give.
"She probably gets run off her feet early, but she's got a good turn of foot and can finish off big time."
Last War, who generally likes to lead, hasn't had a trial preparing to return from a six month spell, which Heywood admitted could be a question mark.
"I haven't jumped him out or anything and have kept him quite fresh. It came down to trialling him or a race, and I thought he'd get more benefit out of racing," Heywood said.
"I think both horses will win their fair share of races, we'll take one race at a time and see where we end up."
Heywood also expects Duck Egg to build on a promising fifth to open his preparation in a maiden race over 1200m.
"His run at Corowa was super, I was absolutely rapt with him. He got back and found the line strong," Heywood said.
"Moving up to 1200 will suit but I would have like to have drawn a better gate. He still does a few things wrong and is learning but has a lot of ability. I'm not sure how he'll go (on a wet track)."
Heywood will also saddle up Perfect Sun in another 1200m maiden.
The first race of the eight race program is scheduled for 1.15pm.
