Former Riverina quick Jake Hindmarsh has linked with the club after three and a half seasons plying his trade on the Border.
Hindmarsh made the move to Albury after a strong 2017-18 season for Wagga RSL, but has been limited to three second grade matches this season due to work commitments.
He was part of a second grade win for the Blues on Saturday and captain Luke Gerhard is thrilled to have someone with Hindmarsh's experience on board in the new year.
"He wanted to come back to have a game so we'll definitely welcome him back," Gerhard said.
"It just fell in our lap but he played a lot of cricket at the club in his younger days, I've played a lot of cricket with him and he's played a lot with the boys so we will see how it all pans out. He will definitely be handy for our bowling attack at the minute as he's a quality cricketer."

South Wagga were comfortable winners of their first matches in their title defence before coming unstuck against Wagga City on Saturday.
An unbeaten 115 from Blake Harper had the Blues in a good position but they couldn't defend 5-253.
Gerhard believes there are plenty of lessons to be learned from the loss.
"It was probably our worst bowling performance for the year as we just didn't execute our plans," he said.
"It was disappointing but we knew Wagga City were going to be a tough ask, especially at their home ground, but it's before Christmas and we know where we have to be at now."
Gerhard also believes Hindmarsh's arrival will bring some more balance to their bowling attack that has undergone plenty of changes since their premiership success.
"You look at our bowling attack from last year and we've lost three to four of our handy bowlers," he said.
"The young fellas have stepped up massively this year but I think we're one quick short at the minute so now have an older guy there to help with that."
South Wagga play Wagga City in their first Twenty20 match on January 14.
