NSW continues to break the country's record for daily COVID-19 case numbers, with six of the latest new infections reported within the Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) as of 8pm on Saturday.

NSW's total of 2566 new cases this morning quickly broke yesterday's daily tally and is now the highest number of infections reported by any Australian state or territory since the beginning of the pandemic.
In comparison, the highest number of daily cases reported in NSW last month was 309 on November 4 with 179 cases reported on November 30.
There were 148,937 COVID-19 tests reported until 8pm yesterday compared with the previous day's total of 137,149.
Currently 227 people have been admitted to hospital, 28 people of who are in intensive care and ten of which require ventilation.
The total number of confirmed cases in NSW since the beginning of the pandemic is now 97,369.
94.9 per cent of people aged 16 and over have received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and 93.4 per cent are fully vaccinated.
81.5 per cent of people ages 12 to 15 have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 78.1 per cent are fully vaccinated.
Despite the relaxing of COVID-19 restrictions, NSW Health is still encouraging the public to practice COVID-Safety measures, including mask-wearing in situations where you cannot physical distance.
"Get tested and stay home if you have the mildest of symptoms. Do not go out and visit family, friends or go to social events if you are unwell," they said.
Wagga MP Joe McGirr this week said that hospitalisation rates will be key in determining whether stricter COVID rules are needed.
