Jones entered the meeting with 99 winners for the year and brought up the milestone courtesy of a well-timed drive on Major Huss ($3.10) in the Mcwicked @ Cobbity Equine NR55 Pace (1740m).
It was the third time in Jones' career he has hit the 100 mark.
The century milestone was the first leg of a winning double for Jones, who made it to 101 on the Paul Kahlefeldt-trained Sheza Cracker ($2.00) in the Hes Watching @ Tipperary Equine NR50 Pace (1740m).
Jones was not overly focused on the milestone mark but was still pleased to get there.
"It's pretty good. I don't worry too much about it now," Jones said.
"The first time it was one I wanted to get but I'm just happy to win for the trainer and owners."
Jones thanked his partner, Ellen Bartley, and everyone who he drove for in helping reach 100.
He believed having the ability to reach Canberra meetings this year, through COVID, made a big difference in hitting the mark.
"I got to Canberra a fair bit this year and picked up a few there, which made a difference in the end," Jones said.
Meantime, Wagga trainer-driver Bryce Campbell snared a win with Our Modern Minnie ($4.80) on Friday.
Campbell speared the filly straight to the front from gate two and controlled from there, taking out the Conquest Pools NR45 Pace (1740m) by three metres in a mile rate of 1:55.5.

It was Our Modern Minnie's second win of her career and first since joining Campbell's stable in September.
Brett Hogan enjoyed success with lightly-raced two-year-old Anyonewilldo ($21) in the opening event of the day.
Anyonewilldo stormed home to claim the Steel Supplies NR45 Pace (1740m) at her fourth career start, in a mile rate of 1:56.1.
The Gary Lang-trained Movin On Up ($3.10) was rewarded for his consistency of late with a breakthrough win in the Ultimate Machete @ Tipperary Equine NR45 Pace (1740m).
Having run top three at seven of his past eight starts, Movin On Up was guided to tough victory by Jack Painting.
It was the first leg of a winning double for Painting, who was successful later in the day on the David Kennedy-trained Punt Away ($1.20) in the Red Fox Electrical NR55 Pace (1740m).
Painting now sits on 99 wins for the season and has a couple of weeks to bring up his century.
