POSITIVE STEP: Finley GP Alam Yoosuff welcomed the federal government's plan to attract more doctors and nurses to work in regional areas, but believes interns require more time in GP settings.

Doctors and nurses could have their university debt wiped if they commit to working in regional, rural or remote settings.
