The seven-year-old has won feature races at Cootamundra and Queanbeyan in the past two months and this time Wagga trainer Chris Hardy is chasing more success on his home track.
Zakeriz split his Cootamundra Cup and Queanbeyan Cup wins with an eighth at Rosehill last month.
He has drawn barrier two in what is expected to be a small field.
Nyssa Burrells takes is again on board with Zakeriz to carry 58.5 kilograms while Norm Gardner's Upper House is the top weight with 61.
Meanwhile the MTC has renewed its commitment to honour life members.
Five of the clubs life members, Bernie Noonan, Rosie Drummond, Fred Horsley, Merle Grant and the late Robert McMeekin, all have a race named in their honour on Monday.
The club will honour the remainder of its life members at other meetings throughout the season.
Monday's meeting will also be new chief executive Jason Ferrario's first in the role.
