TOUR de Riverina leader Andrew Piffero says making tactical adjustments in the heat of battle will be vital in deciding whether he holds off the chasing pack in the final round at Uranquinty on Sunday.

Piffero holds a two-point lead over fellow Tolland Cycling Club member Dan Addison heading into the 66km, three-lap trek, with Griffith's Stephen Bertoldo a point further back.
The Tolland club offered to host the final round when COVID threatened to rob the series of a climax.
The most recent round, the Butch Menz Memorial, was held back in June and while they're good mates, Piffero will look to deny fellow 45-year-old Addison a second title to add to his 2016 series win.
"With the last round five months ago I haven't really raced since then, there hasn't been much going on in regards to racing," Piffero said.
Dan's a bit fitter and more experienced than me. - Dan's been riding since he was a kid, doing track and stuff like that, whereas I've only ever taken it up over the last five years, It takes a fair bit of time to get that condition."

Piffero said his race approach will be dictated by how Addison and Bertoldo are faring, and where they position themselves in the field.
"If I can keep Dan's bunch at bay and hopefully get a good handicap, fingers crossed I'll be OK," Piffero said.
"I haven't actually won a round. I came second at Barooga and third at Griffith, so I don't want a tie breaker."
The undulating course will make the eventual victor earn a series win.
"It's up and back three times and at the turnaround there's a hill where you have to be on the ball in case someone takes off," Piffero said.
"I've got dropped there a couple of times, I've just got to stay on my toes and try and keep the group together."
Tolland stalwart Peter Treloar hasn't been competing in the series, but will be one of the race favourites alongside young gun Myles Stewart, who took out the Butch Menz Memorial.
Sunday's race gets underway at 10am, with registration beginning at the start line on Uranquinty Cross Road from 9am.
