It is good to see that Geoff has expanded his field of vision beyond Gundagai shire and gone as far as Canberra and Melbourne to prove his personal theory on the current climate status. Geoff details in those centres certain all-time cold weather records plus snow in the Alps.
If he expanded his research further he would find that at the same time as these cold events were occurring there have been several days of severe to catastrophic fire danger warnings in several WA regions, including a catastrophic warning recently in the Goldfields region centred on Kalgoorlie.
There is a current weather warning of severe to extreme heatwave conditions developing across northern parts of WA, NT, and Qld. Central parts of NT including Alice Springs have had their wettest November on record.
Geoff quotes one Alan Finkel, former Australian Chief Scientist, as saying any Australian response to global warming will not make any difference.
This same Finkel was appointed by a LNP government and his career credentials are being a neuroscientist, engineer and entrepreneur. He is now on the payroll as special adviser to the Australian government.
I am not sure where the quote Geoff supplies takes us but I am very sure he will not be able to dig up a quote from Finkel like "global warming and climate change are not real". Even Finkel acknowledges that the problem needs some type of intervention.
It is clear from what Geoff says in his letter why he has a very narrow-minded view of climate change.
He says "take note of what is actually happening weather-wise". It might come as a surprise to him but there is a very big difference between being weather-wise and climate-wise.
He also says "be guided by the factual data". This is good advice because there is plenty of factual data out there to support global warming-induced climate change.

THINK CAREFULLY WHEN VOTING
A very sad day last Thursday, as Lockhart Shire Council (LSC) have decided in their blind wisdom to demolish our heritage sheep pavilion.
Our sheep pavilion is 68 years old and was the very first building built on the showground. It was built by members and volunteers from 44 donated Murray Pine tree poles.
It is a unique structure purpose built to house the sheep whilst they were being judged undercover on show day. It is a rural timber build utilising techniques from early 20th century shed construction.
Four builders said it could be restored and two submitted written quotes. LSC preferred to keep referring to their assessment by an expert that it was unsound.
They have blindsided the show society, by not giving us a copy of the DA back in 2018 and they certainly did not talk to the owners of the sheep pavilion as to the placement of the observatory and that they were going to demolish our sheep pavilion.
We have contacted no less than eight government departments and ministers and sadly no one wants to make the council accountable.
So when voting in the local government elections make sure you vote for honest people with integrity as they seem to be an untouchable commodity.
