Tumbafest committee president Andrew Rae said the committee is thrilled to have Mauboy on board, after many previous attempts to bring her to the Snowy Valleys.
"It's been a lot of work over the last couple of years," he said.
Mr Rae said COVID restrictions made things difficult, and the committee wanted to make sure they would have a large crowd before investing in such big talent.
"After the bushfires...we had nearly 7000 people [in attendance] and it showed that [the] township could handle crowds of that size," he said.
Mauboy first rose to fame in 2006 after appearing on Australian Idol, going on to win multiple ARIA Awards, appear as a judge on The Voice and even represent Australia at the 2018 Eurovision song contest.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Hosted annually, Tumbafest will take place on February 26 and 27 next year, with Mauboy headlining on the Saturday alongside artists such as Riverina-raised Fanny Lumsden.
Mr Rae said that Mauboy will "one hundred per cent" bring in more tourists to Tumbarumba and surrounds, along with the rest of the fantastic line-up.
The committee held a strategic meeting this week to come up with their final action plans ahead of the big event next year.
"It's shaping up beautifully," Mr Rae said.
