Keesja Gofers, who has represented the Australian Stingers at the past two Games, and fiancee Scott Nicholson put the juniors through some drills before their season begins next weekend.
Wagga Water Polo president Josh Paul said the camp was a golden chance for their up-and-coming talent to learn from an athlete who has performed on the biggest stage.
"Keesja and Scott do clinics more in the city regions, and we asked them to come here and give our kids an opportunity," Paul said.
"We saw over 100 kids come through over the weekend and they got a huge amount out of it.
"Talents like Keesja, to mentor kids in these regional areas before the season starts will put them in a good position for the year.
"The kids loved it, we had kids who hadn't played water polo before all he way up to our under-16s who were developing a bit more structure on their counter attacks and defence.
"I think she appreciated and was probably surprised about how keen the Wagga water polo players were."
Paul said the junior competition will move from Wednesday to Sunday morning this season, beginning on November 7.
"There's an influx of members wanting to play so we ran out of space on the Wednesday night," he said.
"We'll also introduce an under-12s competition for the younger kids."
