A NSW Police spokesperson said that the truck left the road and went into a dam on a nearby paddock following the impact.
On arrival, officers attached to Riverina Police District found the truck partially submerged.
Fire and Rescue NSW Inspector Bruce Dowling said the point of impact was near the semi-trailer's fuel tank, causing it to rupture.

"The semi-trailer then swerved off the road and ended into a dam with the prime mover in the water and the trailer on the side of the dam," he said.
"It was carrying orange juice concentrate, not bottles, bulk orange juice.
"There were over 500 litres of diesel spilt mainly on the road."
Inspector Dowling said some of the diesel also spilt into the dam, adding that the front cabin of the semi-trailer was not too severely damaged.
But, he said, the truck driver was trapped due to a shoulder injury and needed to be pulled out.
"FRNSW is the rescue agency, so the crew placed a ladder from the bank to the vehicle and then, using a solid stretcher, placed him in and then slid him to the dry area," Inspector Dowling said.
"There were about 20 people in total working together to make the area safe for the general public and help the people involved."
The two occupants, both men, of the truck and the three occupants of the Toyota - two women and a man - were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said two people were taken to Cootamundra Hospital with minor injuries.
