A Riverina teenager has been charged with a suite of offences after allegedly speeding and drink driving nearly six months after his licence had expired.

Just before 8:30pm on Wednesday, officers from the Riverina Highway Patrol detected a Ford Falcon allegedly travelling 190km/h on a signposted 100km/h road in Bomen, about 10 kilometres north-east of Wagga Wagga.
The vehicle was stopped and the 19-year-old male driver from Junee produced a provisional licence that had expired in March and further checks revealed he was currently disqualified from driving.

The teenager underwent a roadside breath test which allegedly returned a positive reading and he was arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station where he returned a positive breath analysis reading of 0.024.
He has been charged with drive with special range PCA (second offence), driving recklessly in a dangerous manner, exceeding the speed limit by more than 45km/h and driving a vehicle while disqualified (second offence).
He was granted conditional bail and is due to appear in Wagga Wagga Local Court on Wednesday, November 24.
