
Police officers are trying to piece together the moments leading up to a tragic crash that claimed the life of a six-year-old boy near Wagga.

A statement from police said it is believed that the driver of a Mitsubishi Triton was travelling northbound on Holbrook Road when the vehicle left the road and hit a tree.
The driver, a 28-year-old man, was treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries and taken to Wagga Base Hospital.
IN OTHER NEWS:
The passenger, a six-year-old boy, died at the scene.
A crime scene was established, which was examined by specialist police attached to the Southern Region Crash Investigation Unit.
As investigations continue, police are urging anyone who may have seen the vehicle prior to the crash - or who may have dashcam/CCTV footage from the area - to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
