Hewitt will bring a team of five pacers to Wagga, where four of them are expected to start as short-priced favourites.
It is the Australian debut of lightly-raced former Kiwi Triple Four, part-owned by Canberra Raiders captain Jarrod Croker, in the Steel Supplies 3YO Pace (1740m) that has Hewitt excited most for.
"He's a pretty nice horse. I like him," Hewitt said.
"He's nowhere near where he's going to be, in another month or so I'm hoping he can head down to Menangle and that. But on what he's done, I really like him.
"I wasn't planning on starting him but then I saw that race, a one-win three-year-old and thought I might as well start him there, instead of trialing him here on Saturday."
Escape Artist will be looking to do everything right when he contests the HRNSW 2YO Guaranteed Pace (1740m). He got caught up in the trouble at Young last start when returning from a spell.
"I never should have started him around Young. I was hoping that if he got around the track, he'd be good enough to run second but he just never handled it at all.
"His work has been real good. If he does everything right, he'll take some beating too."

Escape Artist has drawn gate seven and Hewitt hopes to find a nice spot up front.
"We'll go forward. That's his go, he's a good, strong horse so he'll head forward and try to take luck out of the equation," he said.
Bosch has drawn one in the Ultimate Machete @ Tipperary Equine NR 75 Pace (2270m). Hewitt expects to get the run of the race behind Ideal Escape, who he is drawn alongside in gate two.
"It's a good draw. It should suit him, having the last crack at them," he said.
"He's a high speed horse. I know he went good last start, working three wide and to the chair but that's not really his go. He's a sit-sprint, high speed sort of horse.
"Hopefully he gets his chance, but in saying that, (Ideal Escape) is a pretty nice horse I think. I think it goes really good."
Hewitt has two in the Conquest Pools NR 60 Pace (1740m) and leans to Hez Dusty over Sweet Jemma.
"He's a nice horse. He's got a few tricks and that but he's got plenty of talent," Hewitt said.
"I wanted to give him one more hit-out before the next round of three-year-old (Breeders Challenge) heats.
"He's a three-year-old taking on faster class horses so I don't want to knock him around. He's a sit-sprinter too. I know he won sitting in the chair last start but he's got really high speed so I'll more than likely save him for one crack at them and try not to knock him around too much and have him spot on for a fortnight later."
