Wooden has decided he won't lead Temora in 2022, bringing an end to his five-year reign as coach of the club.
Temora have hit the market looking for his replacement only to have a couple of prospective coaches fall through.
Wooden believes the Temora job is one of the most attractive coaching jobs available.
"I can't speak highly enough of it," Wooden said.
"I've enjoyed my time at the Roos, great people, really good football group and there's a good crop of young kids coming through and they've got games in them this year.
"The last couple of years we've pumped a lot of games into them and they'll obviously be better off for it. Obviously then we just need a few top end players to pick up the team and put them into the finals.
"The club's in a good spot, we've just to find the right bloke. We'll try to get a playing coach but if it goes down the path where we can't get that, we'll make sure we get the right person in the role."

Wooden has enjoyed his time so much at Temora he is going nowhere. He plans to help out on the recruitment front and may even step into a vice-president role.
The Lockhart junior believes the vacant Temora position could be perfect for a first-time coach looking to dip their feet in the water.
"Absolutely. You're going to have the support," he said.
"I'm not going anywhere, you're going to have players that have coached before and been around. There's a lot of support there, there's a lot of older blokes there that will give you guidance and help run the bench.
"It's not going to be throw you in the deep end and sink or swim. There's a lot of support there. And like I said before, I'm going to be around the club so I can help out where I can so if it's a young bloke, or someone for the first time, I can give them tips on how to do things and help them with training and help guide them through.
"Definitely don't be shy, if coaching is something they want to get into then there is plenty of support there to make them feel comfortable."
Temora finished eighth this season. It was the first time under Wooden that the club didn't feature in finals.
The Kangaroos were winless at the halfway mark of the season but won three of their last six games to avoid the wooden spoon and finish the year with some momentum.
"We had a bad run with injuries at the start of the year. If we didn't have those injuries at the start of the year, there's no doubt in my mind that we would have been in the top five," Wooden said.
"We left our run too late when we got the players back so it's not like you need to come to the club and rebuild it, that's definitely not the case. There's good kids coming through that have 20-30 games in them now, we don't have anyone retiring so we don't have players at the back end of their career, you just need three or four quality players to come in and top the team up and you push that straight into a top five team, easy."
Wooden said the retention at Temora has been strong with no indications of departures heading into next season.
"We've near signed 80 per cent of our squad. There's a few players that are in Wagga that are waiting for us to get a coach but haven't committed elsewhere," he said.
"I think if we get the coach locked in the next month or so would be ideal. You don't want to still be recruiting in January or February if you can help it."
Temora have also indicated they will have an under 17 football team back on the paddock in 2022.
"We've had a couple of meetings already and the numbers indicate we'll definitely have a team next year. There's a good group of kids coming through the 15s," he said.
Anyone interested in the Temora job should contact Wooden or James Durham.
