Brendan Flanagan has decided to step down from the president's position after five years in the role.
"I'm stepping down, I've done five years, it's time for a change there," Flanagan said.
"I'll still be involved, I'll probably do something, if they need me to, with my sons team and probably do a bit of work behind the scenes, trying to get some traction with some facilities. Something that is maybe even half as good as what is provided for everyone else would be a good start."
The Wanderers will hold their AGM on Wednesday, October 6 at The Rules Club. Nominations are being taken for all positions.
Flanagan feels it is the right time to step down as president and believes there is a couple of more than capable replacements waiting in the wings.
"There's people on the committee and that's one of the reasons why I feel comfortable," he said.
"I've been president for five years and I was on the committee for two years before that. So I've done a seven-year stint.
"Now we've got Ryan Smith there, he's been on for 12 months, Tim Cooper, they're both really good operators and both of those would be really good candidates to either do it individually or do it in a shared role as well.
"I'll still be around and involved if they need advice or help doing something."
Flanagan remains passionate about the world game and will continue to work for better facilities for the Wanderers.

"We need more grounds, that's the big thing," he said.
"There's just not enough grounds. That's something that will need to be addressed over the next few years.
"From a Wanderers' point of view, I'll probably get involved from that perspective over the next year or so, just to see whether we can get a couple of new grounds somewhere. And for our club, we need at least two, preferably three, grounds together so we can play in one venue and train in one venue."
Flanagan was certainly not suggesting the Wanderers take over Rawlings Park.
"Quite rightly, Rawlings is the turf of local clubs that have been there for 20 or 30 years," he said.
"I'm not advocating that we go and takeover the grounds there, but we need to have two or three grounds with lights provided elsewhere so we can train and play at the one venue and showcase what is the highest level of the sport in the region."
Flanagan has overseen significant growth at the Wanderers during his tenure, as well as the club's first senior NPL Two title last year.
The club has already opened up expressions of interest for coaching positions for 2022 and are doing the same for players.
The club opened up expressions of interest for players on Monday and will announce trial dates once community sport can resume.
The Wanderers' presentation night is set for Sunday week, October 3.
