As Murrumbidgee Turf Club enjoyed it's opening Saturday meet of the spring, albeit without a crowd, it was Nisbet who took riding honours.
Nisbet won three of the seven races on the card, guiding Pontmain ($5.00), Testator Silens ($4.20) and Starliv ($7.00) to victory.
Testator Silens made it two wins from as many starts with his win in the Aggies Day 16th October Class One Handicap (1000m).
The Luke Clarke-trained four-year-old defied a big betting drift to hold out the fast-finishing Fifty Carats ($3.80) by three quarters of a length.
Nisbet then finished the day with Starliv's victory in the Good Luck Steve Keene Benchmark 58 Handicap (1200m).
Canberra trainer Keith Dryden also enjoyed a good day, bringing three horses to Wagga for two winners.
Dryden kicked things off with All Formidable's ($2.35) win in the Tradies Day 29th October Maiden Handicap (1200m).
Eve's Miss ($10) then took out the feature, the Run To Kosciuszko Open Handicap (1000m).
Jordan Mallyon timed his run on Eve's Miss to perfection as they edged out Seventh Seal ($6.00) and Affinity Beyond ($2.05) in a busy finish.
Logan River finished fifth in what turned out to be his final race start.
Eve's Miss was the second leg of a winning double for Mallyon, who guided Dolphina to victory earlier for Tim Donnelly.

Canberra apprentice Damon Budler rode All Formidable to victory.
Meantime, talented Wagga gallopers Blitzar and Another One trialled nicely on Saturday.
Blitzar, who was scratched from the Highway at Randwick on Saturday, cruised along to win the trial by a touch over three lengths.
He clocked 58.75 and appeared to have plenty in reserve.
Another One hit the line nicely, with Wagga trainer Gary Colvin holding out fading hope for the final place in the Kosciuszko.
Heywood is also open to going that way and is targeting the Highway Handicap on the same day at Randwick.
