The two-year-old Warrawee Needy colt is the first Australian bred foal of New Zealand Cup winner Mainland Banner to hit the track.
Yirribee Pacing Stud.purchased the now 19-year-old broodmare out of New Zealand.
Rod Woodhouse is hoping Bully Bourne has got some of the talent of his mother and a number of half-siblings including group one winner Rocker Band.
"Nice mares are hard to come by," Woodhouse said.

Bully Bourne comes into his first start courtesy of a trial win last week and after drawing barrier two in a field where only four of the 10 runners have race experience, Woodhouse expects he will improve off whatever he does on Friday.
"He's got a long way to go but we will know a lot more about where he is at," he said.
"He's a real big horse so he probably needs another run or two but they don't have many two-year-olds on so they have to grab them while you can. He will go alright."
His older sister Mainland Magic will also trial on Friday.
Woodhouse believes the three-year-old has got plenty of promise.
Woodhouse also lines up two mares in the fast class event on the card.
Rise Above This and Rhianna Reigns will start on either spectrum of the front row and were only separated by a nose last time out.
After drawing barrier one, Woodhouse is hoping Rise Above This can break through after plenty of consistent performances.
"She is a nice filly who isn't overly strong but is a beautifully going filly," he said.
"She was given to me to breed from so that is what I'll be doing.
"We're just waiting for the breeding season to tick around and we'll be into it."
Rhianna Reigns finished third last time out in her second start back for the stable.
Woodhouse gave her a chance at Menangle, but thought she was better off racing in the Riverina before also heading to the broodmare barn.
"She was just short of it," he said.
"I sent her down to Dave (Thorn) and he just thought she was a bit short of point-to-point speed whereas she can match motors here."
Both are set for dates with Warrawee Needy in the near future.
