The two heavy vehicles were travelling in opposite directions about 20 kilometres south of Griffith when they collided at about 11.30am on Tuesday.
Emergency services were called to the scene and arrived to find one of the vehicles, a fully-loaded grain truck, tipped over and both trucks seriously damaged.

NSW Ambulance inspector Markus Zarins said both drivers managed to escape injury, however the driver of the grain truck was transported to Griffith Base Hospital for observation.
"They were really, really lucky I think," Inspector Zarins said.
"It appears the vehicles basically side swiped each other and the driver's side of their cabins are both smashed."
Both drivers were able to extricate themselves from their vehicles before emergency services arrived.
Inspector Zarins said both trucks would likely be write offs.
NSW Police were also in attendance.
Traffic control has been set up along the scene of the accident.
