Clubs were informed of changes to the traditional finals formats on Sunday afternoon.
The plan involves kicking off both the Riverina and Farrer League finals series on the weekend of September 4-5.
They will be two-week finals series in a bid to get seasons completed quickly before any further impact from COVID-19.
The plans work on the proviso of the region coming out of lockdown next weekend.
The Wagga and District and South West junior leagues would commence their finals series immediately. Next Saturday, August 28, for South West and Sunday, August 29, for Wagga and District, with grand finals on the first weekend of September.
All four competitions, two seniors and two juniors, will hold identical finals structures.
The opening rounds of finals will see the first-placed team play the fourth-placed teams. Second will also play third. The two winners will meet in the grand final.

It is understood Narrandera Sportsground will play host to the Riverina League, with Robertson Oval the primary venue for the Farrer League finals.
It also means that the Riverina and Farrer League grand finals will be held on the same weekend. It is believed officials will split them over Saturday and Sunday.
The development is a blow to fifth-placed teams but gives both senior competitions the best chance of a completion to the season.
Northern Jets are the unlucky team in Farrer League, with Collingullie-Glenfield Park suffering the same fate in the Riverina League.
Full details will be announced by AFL Riverina on Monday.
