Auctioneer Mark Logan from stock and station agents RH Blake & Co dropped the hammer on the record-breaking sale on Thursday at Wagga's Livestock Marketing Centre at Bomen.
Mr Logan said 45 lambs were sold at $331.20 per head to claim the new record.
The record-breaking lambs are destined for an abattoir in Victoria.
"They were March-drop lambs and the ewes were bred by Andrew Roberts from Marrar and the rams were Armdale (Park)," Mr Logan said.
"The lambs were still on their mothers and they were purchased by MC Herd in Geelong.
"The full consignment of 120 lambs averaged $319.20 per head."
Mr Logan believes the Uranquinty farmers have set a high standard with the quality of their lambs.
"The brothers have set a new benchmark," he said.
"In 2018, Gordon and Wayne broke the record which was $320 per head, which hadn't been surpassed until now.
"They've held that category record for three years so they're very good at what they do.
"The lambs were 20 weeks old and weighed over 60 kilograms so that's a lot of good genetics and feed involved.
"It's good for them to get that big sale early."
Lamb prices are not expected to reach the lofty heights witnessed this week in the coming months.
"The market always starts off expensive but the more there are on the market with supply and demand, the prices drop," Mr Logan said.
"The numbers haven't peaked yet- we had about 11,000 but by the end of September it should be up to about 30,000.
"At the moment the price is $10 per kilo dressed lambs and I expect it will drop to $8 per kilo but that's still good."
Wagga's lamb and sheep market is regarded as one of the best in Australia, offering a large number of stock to cater for domestic and export processors.
