But like their rivals, their biggest issue is hoping the Riverina League will return to action as soon as possible after Saturday's snap seven day lockdown forced local sport into an untimely holding pattern.
The Hoppers were arguably the worst affected of any sports club in the region, with the local derby against the Lions traditionally their biggest day financially.
It's was exacerbated by the fact the juniors were also scheduled to play. The Lions were playing to seal the minor premiership, while a win for the Hoppers would have elevated them to third with a round left after Wagga Tigers' loss to Turvey Park.
Buchanan estimated takings from the gate, canteen and bar would "be ten grand-plus for the day, you'd think."
"That's probably our biggest gate for the year against Ganmain, and the junior-senior day is a great focus for our club across footy and netball," he said.
"But we understand COVID is a much bigger thing than just what we're doing.
"The hardest part is the amount of effort that goes on behind the scenes to organise it, for a day like that."

The club held a fire sale on food they were unable to sell on Sunday, with supporters snapping up everything available.
"At the last minute you've got 30 dozen pies you have to do something with. But it was handled pretty well and our supporters bought all that food, which was great," Buchanan said.
"It's hard, for small clubs days like that are really important. We'll just have to work a bit harder in other areas.
"We've been quite lucky with the sponsorship and support of the community that we can handle it, but we've definitely got to try and find something else to try and make that up."
Buchanan was hopeful clubs would get a chance to complete the season properly.
