The Boiled Lollies were on the verge of cracking the century for the first time this season before their clash with Tumut was cut short on Saturday with the snap seven-day lockdown pending.
The Bulls were coming off a win over second-placed Waratahs but didn't have the same impact against the unbeaten premiers.
Coach Ben Schreiber was thrilled with how his side made the best use of the good conditions at Conolly Rugby Complex to take a 97-7 victory.
"We were under the impression they were going to bring us to it from the get go but our boys were able to rise to the occasion and stamp their authority," Schreiber said.
"Tumut came in with their tails up after beating Tahs and I think they were hoping for a similar type of upset against us but our boys were able to display some great running rugby."
Instead Tumut struggled for answers to Wagga City's attack as Steven Tracey scored a hat-trick while Jone Kurusiga, Waisale Sauvinaloto, Tomasi Nabuliwaqa and Dylan McLachlan all bagged doubles.

While the back line did most of the scoring, Schreiber was also thrilled with the impact their reworked forward pack had.
"Our forwards put on a great display, especially Tom Blanch up front in the set piece," he said.
"He was very dominant in the scrum."
Captain Adam Mokotupu (ankle) and Nathan Seymour (ribs) both missed the clash with Mikaera Smylie moving into hooker.
Meanwhile Waratahs ensured there would be no winning finish to the season for CSU.
Reddies put up a fightback after slipping behind early, but their crosstown rivals had too much firepower to score a 43-17 win at Beres Ellwood Oval on Saturday.
Coach Michael Davis was just pleased to come through the game.
"We had a win but all the circumstances added to it being quite a scrappy game," Davis said.
"Reddies get you into a tight tussle."
Waratahs had a number of changes to their line up and Davis was particularly pleased with how Josh Gemmell stepped into the halfback role.
The club is now looking to work on their approach to getting the better of Wagga City for the first time in over two years.
Finals were set to start on Saturday with Wagga City and Waratahs playing off for a place in the grand final.
Tumut were also set to meet Griffith in the elimination final at Conolly Rugby Complex.
