The Hawks will finish second and meet either The Rock-Yerong Creek or North Wagga in a qualifying final on Saturday week.
But this Saturday's home game against the sixth-placed Bushpigs will be a test as well as an opportunity going into the post-season.
"They had a pretty good win (against an in-form Temora)," Hard said.
"We'll look to be consistent. It's like a broken record with that word but we've got to keep working and striving for it. Our starts have been pretty good but we're conscious of our second quarters and letting sides back in."
The Hawks opened with five goals to two against the fifth-placed Northern Jets last Saturday before the Jets surged back in the second.
While EWK steadied before half-time, they got right on top in third quarter.
"I thought it was a pretty good win," Hard said.
"The boys are really starting to dig in which is good.
"We know we've got these lapses, we've got to sort them out. But you've also got to give the opposition credit, they're going to come at you at some stage. And the Jets had been in good form.
"We probably didn't capitalise on the scoreboard (after half-time) which has been our problem for a long time... We're winning, we're getting through and we're getting to the pointy end of the season."
