The town has a large Indigenous community and the Eagles hope the day, starting with this week's home clash against Wagga Tigers, will become an annual event.
The juniors will also play on the same day, with football teams wearing Indigenous jerseys designed by former player Mark Flack, while netballers will also wear special bibs and socks.
"It will be good for the town. For myself (as an Indigenous man) it's just good to be able to include everyone," Irons said.
"We're known as a town with a big Indigenous community so to be able to have a day that represents that is great.
"The last couple of years we've had a fair few Indigenous players come back. There's a fair few of the boys I grew up with, and a fair few coming through the under-17s as well.
"There's probably not as many as we'd like, but hopefully doing stuff like this can prompt a lot more to come and give Aussie Rules a go. It probably is more of a league region, and that's where they tend to turn to."

"Having days like this hopefully does prompt more Indigenous people to come and play, especially in a town like Narrandera where the population isn't massive."
The Eagles are looking for their third win of the year against the Tigers, who will be full of confidence after toppling the then-ladder leaders Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong last week.
"There's times when we play good footy and can match it with the best sides, but we get overrun. That's probably fitness," Irons said.
"We'll try and build on next year and give some guys a couple of games. This year has probably been disappointing from what we thought we could do, but there's a lot to build on there and next year will hopefully be bigger and better."
Meanwhile, Collingullie-Glenfield Park will be without Nick Perryman and Joe Perryman for their vital clash with Leeton-Whitton at Crossroads Oval.
The Demons are only behind the third-placed Tigers on percentage after a strong three months of football, but will have to make do without Joe (shoulder) and Nick (hand).
Turvey Park will have more incentive to try and spring an upset against Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes at Maher Oval, with skipper Jack Haggar to play is 100th game for the club, and Brendan Bryce his 100th first grade game.
Matt Cerato will also bring up 200 games for the Bulldogs as part of the reserves side.
Midfielder Tom Anderson will also miss Ganmain-Grong Grong-Matong's clash with Griffith.
