Hopper was taken from the field on a stretcher after copping an accidental kick to the face in Greater Western Sydney's 27-point loss to Port Adelaide at Marvel Stadium.
In typical Hopper fashion, he put his body on the line when attempting to smother Port Adelaide's Karl Amon during the last quarter and was struck by the Power midfielder's left foot.
Hopper was taken to hospital, where he was later cleared of any structural damage and is expected to make a full recovery.
As per AFL protocols, Hopper will miss the Giants' clash with Geelong this weekend.
Giants coach Leon Cameron was full of praise for Hopper after the game.
"He's so brave and tough, he's been unbelievably good for us all year. He's had a stellar year," Cameron said after the game.
"He puts his head in spots where we actually don't want him to sometimes."
It was another big game from Hopper up until that point, having 29 disposals.
The loss to port was Wagga's Harry Himmelberg's 100th AFL game. He kicked a goal and had nine disposals in his milestone appearance.
